I volunteered to work on Windsor Township, Bertie Co as soon I heard about the project, but I got no response. I checked several days later and couldn't find my offer, volunteering to work on Bertie. By then I'd set up my own spreadsheet and had started. In 1880 there were over 9,000 African American citizens in Bertie County so there's room for 25 or 30 of us to work through it. After doing only a few families I'm already cross-referencing relationships. This is what makes genealogy so fascinating for me.

Hi Deb, apologies if we lost track of your volunteering for help. Can you send the spreadsheet to me by private message so we can get it added as a tab to the North Carolina spreadsheet? That's a huge amount of people. Yay! Emma
Hi Emma, I'm sorry, I'm feeling dumb as a rock but I can't figure out how to attach a file to a WT message, privately or public.

the only way to attach a file is to send me a private message, then when I reply to you by email, send the attachment. Emma
Oh, I see now that you had requested the county to be created. It's already created. We'll need to merge what you've worked on so far to the existing spreadsheet. Emma
I'll start working Bertie County. So I can use a spreadsheet it.
